Why now could be an ideal time to explore the island of Maui

HOUSTON – Nearly a year after devastating wildfires destroyed parts of Maui, including the entire town of Lahaina, the attitudes about travel have now shifted and become more optimistic. The calls for tourism are now growing, and with travel numbers to Hawaii still below average, there are opportunities to support Hawaii’s economy and get a great deal at the same time.

“Sixty to eighty percent of the jobs on this island are either directly or indirectly linked to tourism, there’s definitely a need,” said Saglie of how critical it is for travel dollars to start flowing back onto the island.
