Let this showroom in the Galleria area help inspire your next remodel

Houston – On Sage Road in the Galleria, you’ll find the Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove Houston showroom. Well, showroom might be an understatement. This space takes the idea of a showroom to the next level. Think of it more as an experience where you’ll not only get an idea of how an appliance might look in your own home but you’ll get to see it in action.

Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove corporate chef, Colin Shine explained that the showroom is “really a unique opportunity to show off our family of brands.”

Family is a good word to use. Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove is a family owned company and has been since its launch in 1945 after Westye Bakke found success building a prototype refrigerator using scrap metal, amid wartime shortages, in his Madison basement turned lab. Prior to this he had worked helping Frank Lloyd Wright design custom refrigeration for the architect’s homes.

For decades, “The Bakke family has really been leading the charge in quality, innovation and customer service,” said Shine.

All Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove products are made here in the United States. “We’ve got facilities in Wisconsin and Arizona. Which can really help us control the manufacturing process,” said Shine.

In their Galleria showroom, Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove products are set up in scenarios similar to how you may have them in your home, providing ample inspiration for anyone planning a remodel or renovation. Helping to guide you through are specialized consultants.

We’re very proud of this showroom,” said Michelle Meshberger, who is a consultant and sous chef at the Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove Houston showroom.

Meshberger explained that the showroom enables a process of discovery for anyone looking to find new appliances for their home.

“When they’re in our showroom, they get the opportunity to see how our appliances are installed, gain inspiration from our beautiful vignettes, have the opportunity to attend a live cooking demonstration from our head chef, and after the purchase, the relationship with the showroom doesn’t end there. We invite them to come back, attend a use and care class so they can get the most out of the features of their new equipment,” she said.

Cooking demonstrations are another part of the process of helping you decide which product might be right for your home. Along with a delicious three course meal, you get to experience how food is prepared on the different pieces of equipment.

“Whether you’re looking at induction or maybe gas or a steam oven or traditional wall ovens, it gives you a chance to see it live. And a lot of times we find that those customers then narrow down their choices even more after they’ve left this presentation. So it’s just another layer to them getting to the point of knowing exactly what they want,” said Meshberger.

Cooking demonstrations happen at the showroom once a month and you can book in after a consultation.
